Meanings in History.
HISTORY shows there is Evolution in the REALITY around us. First a Creation occurs, and then further creations are improvements due to increased complexity.
EVOLUTION shows there are in it various ‘Time Durations’ i.e. “Periods”, each signifying a ‘Process’. To these Periods we ascribe a Name, and a Meaning to the Process, signifying the Product or an Effect it produces at its end. All this in a sequence of events in the flow of Time.
As our knowledge increases we keep on concluding new meanings. Everything we see is Evolving. Meaningful changes are occurring. What seems a random change today becomes meaningful as Time passes, and new changes bring about a new Picture of the State of Existence. Long time periods must pass before we can see a change appearing in the state of Existence, and we can conclude a Meaning to the past Long Period. For example We as a Homo Sapiens Creature Evolved from unknown sources 50,000 yrs ago. For 40,000 yrs we led a life of Hunter-Gatherers. We call it Stone Age. Then in the last 10,000 yrs our life style or Civilization changed to ‘Agricultural Settlements’ then to ‘City Dwellers’, to ‘Age of Empires’, to the present ‘Global Village’. We call these Stages as Ages in the Evolution of Man’s Civilization. So we have with us ‘Durations of Time’ having a ‘Name’ as a Meaning, in the march of our Evolving Civilization.
As these ‘Periods’ are of long duration, then obviously Individual Consciousness and Efforts are not Factors in the changes of these Periods. They appear as Processes, like the formation to the birth of a Child, or even our growing steadily from a child to the old age in stages. So it seems that Evolution is Imposed on the Creation. But what about the Evolution of the Individual. We think that his temperament and his potential qualities are factors in his life’s Evolution. We will elaborate this subject elsewhere.
In the act of Living, we remember our Past as events experienced. This sums up our Present Mind Set, as if our Past Experience is a Process. And we measure the flow of Time in a calendar format. So some events we see as cyclical, according to our calendar. Yearly or in multiples of years. Other events do not form a pattern as yet. We have evolved a calendar based on units and sub units of time. We have the basic unit called Day. It has sub units of 24 hours. Thirty days make a month. Twelve months make a year. Then the year is repeated. All this is based on the cyclic circuit of the Earth around the Sun. Repeated again and again. We classify the seasons as states, starting and ending on fixed dates of the year. Other events are monthly or weekly, like pay cheques or Bills. Life goes on until a major event occurs, which we call an act of God. Living seems to change due to this Event. An example of this on a micro scale is in an individual’s life, say he gets married and his life changes drastically. On the Macro scale say the event of destruction of the world trade centre. The world seems to have changed since then.
We have recorded History as a Time Line of Events, in chronological order. Oldest to latest. We give below a sample of it. Reviewing it can you see a calendar in it? If you could, then you would say that you have evidence of a Process in History. You have evidence of an External Unknown Power interfering with Creation, in Time, Imposing an Evolution on us. Just as argued above.
We have with trial and error worked out the ‘Time Durations” of Major changes from the Timelines. These we call ‘Alameen’. Its meaning is ‘A recognizable way of living’ of a People. This appears as of a Duration of 1800 yrs, from the Timelines of Human History.
Meaningful Minor changes appear to correspond to sub periods in the Alameen. These we have called by the name of ‘Ajal’. They appear to correspond to a duration or Period of 600 yrs. Thus 3 Ajals form one Alameen. Ajal’s meaning is gained by observing that one of the Ajal of a people forms the high point of their ‘Civilization’ in that Alameen.
There seems to be a further sub period of an Ajal. These we have called ‘Saat’. From the Timelines it appears to be of 50 yrs duration. Its meaning is an ‘Instant’ in the flow of Time in History.
For very long Durations of Time, we measure in Periods of 50,000 yrs. We call it an ‘Evolution Year’. So 1 EY = 1000 Saats of 50yrs each.
One Alameen of 1800yrs has 3 Ajals of 600yrs each or has 36 Saats of 50yrs each.
We have now got to “Peg” the Marker on a Historical Date, on a very important ‘Event’ in the History of Mankind. Let us call this date as 600 AD, (the actual date is 610AD) the advent of Quran. If we now paste our Periods called Alameen on the Timeline backwards in Time, we can see an exact Calendar. The Markers are then 1200BC, 3000BC, 4800BC, 6600BC, 8400BC, 10200BC, 12000BC, 13800BC, 15600BC, 17400BC, 19200BC, 21000BC, and so on.
The Sub Markers of Ajals are then from 3000BC, 2400BC, 1800BC, 1200BC, 600BC, 0AD, 600AD, 1200AD, 1800AD, 2400AD, and so on.

They had the necessary skills - like language, making fires, clothes, and tools - that enabled them to travel throughout the world. They also were long legged. They could analyze, create, and plan with foresight. They were by performance and intellect the most "advanced" form of animal life on planet Earth. In 2008 DNA evidence indicated that much of the human population had descended from a small band of migrants that left Africa for the Middle East about this time.

Viewing the Timeline from the top we observe that 1800 yrs Alameen does not do a good job of measuring long time durations , of say 200,000 yrs. It forms only 1% of this duration, hence the accuracy is 1%. Fortunately the Quran gives us a measure of time of 50,000 yrs. Using this we can say that Modern Man was living in Africa 100,000 yrs ago. Then we can say that 50,000 yrs ago We appear in Asia and Europe, as slightly different to the African Adam, DNA and appearance wise. Let us call this Period of 50,000 yrs as [Evolution Year]. It is equal to 1,000 Saats of 50 yrs each.

There is a dilemma in the PALAEOANTHROPOLOGY Science. Among the six Billion Human beings on Earth, there is very little DNA diversity. This implies that we the homo sapien are a very recent event. No long lineage. Either we had in the recent past some disaster to effect this genetic ‘Bottleneck’. Or we are a recent new Species out of the 100,000 yrs old African Adam race. Our ancestor is a new Adam, appearing 50,000 yrs ago. In what way different science cannot tell, except by saying our DNA variation is far less than even those of us in Africa.
It is a mystery in Science as to how New Species Evolve. When we look at the evolution tree, we notice a ‘missing link’ in fossils. As if suddenly an Individual is born with very different DNA, among a group. This Individual seems to start a New Species through breeding out of the old group. Over Time, being superior, this new group leaves the old group behind.
Quran gives us the Method employed in Evolution. Consider this:-
‘Lo! The likeness of Jesus with Allah is as the likeness of Adam. He created him of Dust, then He said to him Be! And he is’. S.3. A. 59.
We know from Quran that Jesus ss was very different from the rest of us. He as a child could speak or communicate with people. Can we not consider him a new species? Can we not consider that Allah is telling us that this is His method of Evolution. Through a mother of old species, He creates with a different DNA, a child of different Species. He writes whatever DNA He likes, and says ‘Be’, and the child becomes that. All this without a father.
There is a saying that Hazrat Ali went to a particular Well and asked the question as to when was Adam created. The answer came back asking which Adam are you talking about. When asked how many Adams have there been, the answer came as a huge number. This confirms that the methodology in Evolution is as above. From bacteria to Us. In fact the word Adam means “The first one”. Of what? Of every stage of Creation. Creation of Prokaryotes [Archaea, Bacteria] was the creation of the “Way to us”.
Quran.
Has there not been over Man a long period of Time, when he was nothing - (not even) mentioned? S76. A1.
There is a Hadith that reads, That Rasul Allah said, “the Date Tree is my Father’s Sister”.
From the Timeline you can see the time between First Life and Us is 3.5 Billion Years, or 70,000 Evolution Years . Each Evolution Year Period is 50,000 years.
We find a Divine signature in the Period called Saat of 50 yrs. In the first part of 40 yrs =80% of the period, nothing much happens. Then in the remaining 10 yrs = 20% of the Period, revolutionary acts of God happen to change the state of the Creation. Similarly we observe this signature in the 50,000 yrs period also. From the Timeline, in the first 40,000 yrs of Adam we see him as a hunter /gatherer. Then everything is happening very fast in the last 10,000 yrs. Thus there is this implication, that at the end of this Evolution Year [EY], there will be either a new Adam, or the End through Extinction, as in the Past.
Following relevant Ayats of Quran are helpful :-
“Say(O Muhammad) travel in the land and see how He originated Creation, then Allah bringeth forth the latter growth. Lo Allah is able to do all things. S29. A20.
“ We mete out Death among you, and we are not to be outrun, that we may Transfigure you and make you what you know not. And verily you know the first creation. Why, then, do you not reflect”. S56. A60 – 62.
We observe in the Timeline, right on the queue, on the date of 10,000 yrs ago, this Adam race enters the revolutionary period as discussed earlier. They are given the power to domesticate. Cereals are domesticated and so farming starts, leading to a settled life. Sheep are domesticated and so Herding starts. Dogs, cattle, camels, horses all come under Man’s Dome (Home). Domesticating himself he wonders about his Creator’s Dome. We see the first settled life in Jericho in -8,400BC.
These Settlements turn into Towns and then into big Cities. By -3,000BC we see big City Civilizations appearing. Thus life changed into a stratified society. With wealth increasing their Kings started keeping armies. This led to the Age of Empires. The first was the Akadian Empire in -2,400BC. So from -8400BC to -2400BC, for a period of 6,000 yrs, Man lived as a City State dweller. Then Kings with cruelty produced the Age of Empires. This Age lasted for -2,400BC to +1,800AD = 4,200 yrs, when the first Republic appeared in France, and the Age of Democracy started.
An Event happened around -1800BC. Prophet Abraham SS appears with a religion of one God he calls Allah. His method of appealing to Allah is called in Quran as deen (Law) of Hanifa. He is called a Hanif. Allah bestows a book on him, and promises him that his deen will produce many prophets. Also his progeny will multiply many fold. Thus on -1600BC his grandson appears called Jacob SS. He calls himself Israel, thus his progeny is called Bani Israel which exists till today. On this date he moves to Egypt with his family. We will see these people multiplying into a Nation producing Kingship but not an Empire. Their civilization was very strong in Religion, but also produced towards the end Idol Worship of ‘Baal’.
Also in -1600BC in India, Aryan race people invade from the north, and the Indus civilization then existing as City States collapses. They have Religious books called the Vedas, written in a Language which latter becomes Sanskrit. These people produced Empires for the next 2,600 yrs. They also produced Buddhism, Jainism, Sikhs, and ‘many Idols worshipping Hinduism’, which is dominant there till today.
Let us now put in some Processes as Periods, and see what results these produce in the Timeline. We should be expecting to see change in way of life / religion after an Alameen of 1800 yrs. Also we should be seeing an effect called Resurgence / Renaissance at 1400 yrs in this period of the Alameen. We see meaning full results appearing on these Marker Dates*in the Timeline.

After them succeeded an (evil) generation: They inherited the Book, but they chose (for themselves) the vanities of this world, saying (for excuse): "(Everything) will be forgiven us." (Even so), if similar vanities came their way, they would (again) seize them. Was not the covenant of the Book taken from them, that they would not ascribe to Allah anything but the truth? and they study what is in the Book. But best for the righteous is the home in the Hereafter. Will ye not understand? S7. A169.
Slowly generation after generation ‘people’ of the book become worldly. They take for cause the worldly desire of the people, thus changing the meaning of the book. But they also say as a defence that that they will be forgiven by Rahman. If such a situation arises they again take the same course of action. So Allah is admonishing them by reminding that a covenant exists between Him and them that they will not ascribe anything but the truth in the Book. Best for the righteous is the home in the hereafter.
We can now discuss the subject of the Evolution of the Individual. It is to do with Belief. Every human has this Power to “Will” his desire into Existence. But when he does not Believe in this “Belief”, then he abdicates this God given Power to him. It is impossible to give a Proof of this. To prove that Belief is a factor of change would mean that Belief has ceased to exist. It has come in the domain of the Visible and Discernable. It would mean Man can measure it and so can manipulate it. But this is not so. We are talking about the Invisible and un discernable. That is why the Quran starts by saying that this Book is for the People who have ‘Belief’ in the ‘Invisible’. Both words are complementary. Let us imagine calling a Person as God. Although that Person is visible, yet we are ascribing an invisible Power that is producing change in Reality, thus ascribing God as Invisible. Reality is dynamic. The ever changing Present. The Events appearing in the Present are from the Invisible Future, our Destiny.
Through Quran one can gain some semblance about the Invisible. After all the Book itself is claiming to give News about It. In it we come across Allah telling the Angels His intention of creating His Khalifa on Earth. Seeing the then current Adams on Earth the Angels voiced their concern. They expected Chaos would result on Earth. Allah pacified them by producing our Adam in Design form in front of them. He made Adam perform his skills of naming all the names, [defining everything]. Allah claimed this design of Adam as most Excellent. But He then produced the Adam and his Race as a Creation in the Lowest of the seven Heavens. But the Process of Evolution produces a large Variety of people in qualities. From the sublime to the lowest.
Now that He did this, His intentions of Evolving this Race through Stages, through the seven Heavens upwards, towards Himself becomes obviously clear in Quran. To give a little of His power of ‘Be’ to this Race , He says He also gave a ‘Balance of Criteria’ as a Trust. That means the Operation of sorting out the results after every Stage became mandatory. So Hell became necessary. Because of His Attributes of all the good ‘Names’ it became necessary to talk to this Adam Race. He had never done this with any Creation on Earth before. To tell them that He has made this decision about their Evolution. That He would be Recreating them after death. And due to the open ended Evolution results, such people would be produced, that would deserve and so end up in Hell.
So we find that what we call the Prayer to Him, is in fact our asking Him for His Power of ‘Be’. Nothing happens to an Individual or on Land except through His ‘Will’ only. That is what Quran says. How can you Pray to Him for the grant of bad things? But He says that an Individual’s strong Will is like a strong Magic. That is why He has given the last two Surahs of Quran as a protection for an individual, against a Person who “Wills” ill of him.
We have started using the term called the ‘Mind Set’ of a person. That implies his total mental makeup of thinking and belief, which shapes his reactions to other persons. His genetics and his past life with his hidden potential qualities would have produced this. Let us consider what effect does study of Evolution has on this.
Seeing the action of Evolution.:-
1. We come to know our position vis a vis Allah.
2. We come to know our future.
3. We worry about the hardness of Life. Future without a Destiny.
4. We start suspecting a Mighty Intellect behind this Force running this Evolution.
5. We feel a need of Contact with this Intellect. At least some do.
Consulting Evolution along with Quran produces a different Mind Set.
1. We start Worshiping Allah through Islam, and Dua.
2. Contact through Dua is as a Person to a Person.
3. Considering Him as a Law only, leaves no Contact here. Highest level of contact is as a person to person, which gives maximum satisfaction.
4. Considering Him as a Living Person is thus more than Law.
5. Lowest level of Contact is Worship. You are asking for favors in lieu of worship.
6. Next level of contact is by considering Him Father of Fathers. You help other people in their Development in life. Thus you act as a Rabb. He is Rabb of Rabbs.
7. Last level is through Love. He becomes Lover of Lovers. Friends, Dearest, Nearest. You become His Exclusive.
